Not just any fat, our tallow comes from grass fed cow from the best local farm in the bluegrass, the happiest acres in Kentucky. We know where the tallow journey starts and ends. Our tallow is first rendered at the butcher, meaning it comes to us already clean and smell free! To ensure that airy, light, whipped texture (you’re going to LOVE) we render each batch 6 more times. This process allows us to produce the cleanest, most pure, and most hydrating tallow available. After we lovingly render our tallow 6 times, we are ready to whip! (Our favorite) Imagine watching a complete solid turn to magic ‘frosting’. We whip each small batch of tallow for about 6 hours. Once whipped, we turn it into a fun but effective product for you and your family to fall in love with.

WHY DOES IT MATTER IF THE COWS ARE GRAIN OR GRASS FED?

Grass fed cows naturally get more vitamins and minerals, which means your tallow does too! (especially here, in the Bluegrass) Cows gain vitamins A, E, and D from the nutrient rich grass, as well as calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus-all of which are absorbed from soil and plant matter. Their healthier diet naturally leads to tallow with a higher nutrient profile, including more Omega-3 fatty acids.

WHAT IF I HAVE OILY OR ACNE PRONE SKIN?

Creme de la Creme has you covered! Our LITE FACE WHIP is airy and non-cosmogenic. We use the perfect blend of bacteria fighting, antimicrobial oils to fight current break outs. Natural retinol prevents future breakouts.

AM I MAKING AN IMPACT?

Choosing tallow can be a more sustainable and ethical choice. Since tallow is a byproduct of the meat industry, this is a way to use the entire animal and avoid waste. It can also be more eco-friendly than some factory produced skin care products. Creme de la Creme tallow is locally sourced, supporting a small family owned and operated, generational farm and Kentucky based butcher.

WHAT’S THE SHELF LIFE? 

Tallow is less prone to oxidation compared to other naturally produced skincare products, meaning it has a longer shelf life. The shelf life for our tallow products is 12 months. (but you’ll be back for a refill before then)

UHHH… BUT WHY’S IT RUNNY?

Tallow is solid at room temperature but can become runny if it's too warm. If your tallow has been exposed to heat, it might still be in a liquid state. Once it cools down, it will solidify. Just pop your tallow in the fridge to set back up. (we keep ours in the refrigerator for the cooling effect on our skin) Runny tallow is common when shipped-or kept in a hot shower, again, a quick fridge sit will do the trick.

WHAT’S THAT SMELL?

That smell? Oh, that’s our premium, plant based essential oils. We have pre-formulated scented tallow. We have over 40 scents to choose from, and are more than happy to customize for you. All of our coloring comes from all-natural, vegan, cosmetic grade mica. The sprinkles and dried flowers? Those are just for fun, please remove. (although, they are safe to ingest-we don’t recommend it)
